Welcome to Lovaton Farmhouse B&B

Lovaton Farmhouse bed and breakfast provides friendly, relaxed family accommodation in an 18th century farmhouse. Lovaton is a traditional working farm located on the northern fringe of Dartmoor in the heart of mid-Devon.

We offer a homely atmosphere and a warm greeting with both child-friendly and dog-friendly B&B accommodation. Even horses and ponies are welcome! Tuck into a full English breakfast of delicious home produced sausages and bacon cooked on a traditional wood burning stove.

Come and enjoy the farm's rich, varied wildlife, woodland, fields and landscape. Collect eggs from the hens, see the young livestock whether it be the calves and piglets seen all year round or young lambs in the spring-time (April and May).

We are close to Dartmoor with its beauty, myths and legends and easy access to Chagford, Okehampton and Tavistock. Nearby are the local villages of Spreyton, South Tawton, South Zeal, Sticklepath, Whiddon Down, Belstone & North Tawton.

There are many local places to visit including Castle Drogo, Fingle Bridge, Finch Foundry and Fernworthy Reservoir.

In addition, there is a selection of places to eat, mainly local pubs with some small restaurants in Okehampton. We can provide a map and directions to several pubs.

Close to the A30 the farm provides a convenient stop-off point for the longer distance traveller en-route to Cornwall, with its attractions including Lands’ End, the National Maritime Museum, Eden Project, Landhydrock and Lizard Peninsula.

To help the travelling or touring guest, on request we can supply a packed lunch.
